The Methodist Church in Teddington began in 1859.
A new Church was built at the junction of Hampton and Stanley Roads in
1879 but in 1944 the Church was demolished by a flying bomb. The
replacement was opened in 1951 on its present site.

Phase I of
our redevelopment programme is now complete.
The
interior of the present Church has been remodelled and refurbished
including new heating, lighting and audio.
All the pews
and central isle radiators have been removed to allow the main body of
the Church to become
'dual use' so that existing groups can continue to function whilst the
rest of the redevelopment takes place.
By the end of 2008
we had refurbished both kitchens, the meeting room and created a quiet room in
the office previously occupied by Teddington & Hampton Wick Voluntary Care
Group, who had moved to a room made available at the other end of our complex.
